To create Bruising and cuts you will need:
- Plasto no.1 firm.
-Sealer
-Blood
-Palette Knife
-Bruise wheels
-Vaseline
-Black Stipple Sponges
- Hair pins
-Coffee beans
-Rounded brush
-Pointed brush
In order to create a bruise you will need to think of the age of the bruise. The bruise comes from the inside out. If the person should have a broken nose, two black eyes would need to be created. For the cut, you will need to think of the object that created the cut.
- Clean the face of all makeup.
- Do not moisturise the face.
- Use the grease based products as they blend easier.
- Fingers can be used to blend the product.
- Start with the lightest first to bring the bruise out from the skin.
- Blend with your fingers to make the bruising look more realistic.
- Mix some moisturiser into the grease based product to make it more translucent.
- Lift the lid of the eye up to get right into the lashes.
- Use a red eye pencil inside the eye.
- Never powder the bruise to keep that shine to it.
To create the cut:
- Put the wax onto the back of the hand and break it down with the palette knife. The heat of the hand will smooth the wax making it easier to put onto the face.
- Pull the knife down the face smoothing the wax over the chosen area for the cut.
- With a cotton bud seal the wax. The wax is dry when it is no longer sticky to the touch.
- Put foundation over the wax to create the skin colour. Then powder the wax using a cotton bud.
- Use a pulled apart pin to create the cut or the edge of the palette knife. Take into consideration the object used to create the cut.
- Using wound filler and a pulled apart pin, fill in the cut created.
- With a pointy brush apply the blood into the cut. Smudge this out of the cut to create a redness around the area.
- Blend the edges of the wax so that the cut looks more realistic as if it is actually on the skin.
- You can also use coffee beans to create a darker blood colour.
- Adding moisturiser to the cut gives it more depth.
